BIPOC Dept. x Vessel DJ Workshop

*AUTONOMOUS EVENT*
Presented by BIPOC Dept. x Vessel DJ Collective
Interested in DJ-ing? Ever wanted to take up the persona of being an insufferable DJ-type? Do you particularly enjoy asserting dominance with your music taste when you are on AUX?

Whether it is your first time touching the deck, wanting to refine your hobby or even if you’re a mixing expert, this DJ workshop provides a space for students of all experience levels to participate. The BIPOC DJ Workshop works to empower the community by directly addressing the issues related to the lack of representation of BIPOC communities within our creative industries today. This program will provide a free DJ workshop taught by experienced DJ’s from Canberra’s growing music scene - Tsotsi, IMOL and Blanket.

*Autonomous: autonomous events are those that are only open to people who identify as BIPOC.
*Non-autonomous: events labelled as non-autonomous will be open to all, regardless of whether you identify as BIPOC or not!

The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we will be meeting, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to our Collective and we commit to standing with our First Nations people.
