International & Ethnocultural Student Mental Health Workshop
ANU's Ethnocultural and International Departments are hosting an autonomous workshop to talk about mental health and mental illness unique to the experiences of students from diverse backgrounds.
For many people of colour and international students, mental health is stigmatised by the cultural communities we come from or go unspoken because we are far from the comforts of home.
The event will include speakers from different organisations to inform students about accessible services, resources and spaces of solidarity that are available in our community.
The aim of this event is to create a safe space where students can get informed and feel comfortable and confident in seeking services and discussing mental health.
At ANUSA we strive to make our events as accessible as possible. Our event venue is accessible, with accessible parking available nearby off Ellery Crescent and accessible unisex bathrooms available at the Pop-Up Village. If you have any accessibility requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact the ANUSA office at 02 6125 2444 or sa.admin@anu.edu.au.
