BIPOC BALL 2023

Welcome to our third annual BIPOC Ball!

This year the BIPOC Department is directly collaborating with the Indigenous Department to put on BIPOC Ball 2023: Homelands!

Homelands honours the landscapes we have grown from, dream of visiting, or carry through stories inherited from our ancestors. We encourage you to dress in a way that reminds you of your homeland: whether you stem from fresh-water rivers, silken deserts, or bustling cities.

“Our creation stories begin with the notion of expulsion from our 'original' home. We spend our lives struggling to return to the place we fit in, the body we belong in, the people that understand us, the life we were meant for.” - Motherlands: In Search of Our Inherited Cities by Amaryllis Gacioppo

This year, Ball is going to be bigger than ever before with a new venue with a bigger capacity. The night will be full of performances by student DJs, singers, and dancers - BIPOC Ball is sold out every year so made sure to buy your tickets early!

We can't wait to see what 'Homelands' means to you!
