CAN I HOLD THE MIC? || BIPOC DEPT. OPEN MIC EVENT
*NON-AUTONOMOUS EVENT*
To kick off Bush Week we have a special open event scheduled in the Kambri Outdoor Amphitheatre. To maximise the audience experience, there will be beanbags, pillows and light refreshments provided. So sit back, relax and enjoy the diverse array of talented BIPOC performances. If you are feeling brave enough, sign up to join the Open Mic line-up here https://forms.gle/KT4djLE9h6mtccRWA
[This event name is directly inspired by Solange Knowles ‘Can I Hold the Mic (interlude)’ from the When I Get Home Album (2019).]

The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we will be meeting, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to our Collective and we commit to standing with our First Nations people.
