Event Type : Exhibition
Iridescence: ANU BIPOC Department Art Exhibition
(AUTONOMOUS BIPOC EVENT)
Iridescence is the visual phenomenon of surfaces that appear to gradually change colour as the angle of view or illumination changes.
It has been a difficult year for everybody, but in our communities especially, this difficulty lies at many intersections. Estrangement from family & community, homesickness, and BLM have hit many of us particularly hard, so we have chosen to explore what it means to cast light on each of our unique narratives and experiences of this time.
To celebrate the stories of those in our community, we are presenting an art exhibition where artwork by local BIPOC artists, many of them ANU students, will be on display throughout Marie Reay superfloor. This will include photography, video, live music performances and a variety of other artistic mediums.
Come along to experience the talent in our community !
