Acknowledgement of Country

The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging.

BIPOC Officer Report

1. Mural

   • Slow response regarding the mural 

   • In the process of drafting the statement regarding the mural on behalf of the Department

   • Statement on the events regarding the mural read by Will at SRC

   • Other Department Officers supportive of the choices BIPOC department might chose to make in regard to the mural 

2. Racism in healthcare panel

   • Collabing with Indigenous Department and Disability Department 

   • To happen in Week 8

   • Looking at reaching out to BIPOC med students and ANU GPs

3. Ball

   • 2 dance performances secured

   • Runsheet finalised later today with Justine

   • Ball meeting on Friday - discussing sober reps, training, 

   • BASC elections next Wednesday

1. Thursday movie night 

   • Movie night tomorrow night 

   • Will purchase snacks on card for tomorrow

2. Working rights event update

   • Has spoken to contact regarding working rights event

   • Women’s and ISD has confirmed events
