Acknowledgement of Country

The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging.

Key Updates and Action Items:

1. BIPOC Officer Elections:

   • Nominees included Aleesya and Tian, both presented speeches. Aleesya was elected as the BIPOC Officer.

   • Everyone is reminded to promote BIPOC exec team positions on social media and within residential halls.

2. Chalk Mural Event and Permanent Mural:

   • The chalk mural event is set for Thursday, Week 10.

   • The team continues to search for an artist for a permanent mural at the BIPOC Base.

3. End-of-Year Event Planning:

   • Sabina is in charge of organizing the event, which is currently being planned.

Next Steps:

• Continue promoting BIPOC executive team positions and support the new officer in their role.

• Organize the end-of-year event and finalize all details.

• Proceed with the chalk mural event and finalize plans for the permanent mural project.
