The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging.

BIPOC Officer Report

1. Indigenous panel

   • On Indigenous Australia

   • Good turnout/ panelists

   • Great event, very important, will aim to do more

2. SRC

   • Nothing controversial on the agenda

   • Queerphobia report, athletes

   • Motion for stand against the Liberal Party- controversial

3. Mural

   • Timeline proposed, statement released by end of semester and new mural to be put up by Bush Week

   • If mural is taken down- what will ANUSA do?

   • Will mention in dept report, no response from ANUSA regarding timeline thus far

4. To do

   • Officer piece for the zine, and party prep

5. Mtg with residential halls

   • Racism report focus

   • Will work alongside us

Secretary Report

1. Do DJs need tickets for the party?

   • No

Social Officer Report

1. Party

   • DJs are sorted w equipment

   • Shadows have confirmed re PA

   • Promotion is the goal for this week

   • Posters need to be printed

   • Decor ideas- banner, posters etc, protest wall, slogan wall

   • Sober reps- high vis vests needed, ask ANUSA

   • Roster released

2. Zine

   • Still working on zine

   • People need to send in things

3. Weekly events

   • Chai and chats went well- issue regarding booking

   • Women’s- feminist consciousness raising next week. Lido hasn’t contacted us thus far.
